All the tourists that has been in Ravello at least once in their lives keep a good memory of it: this village gives off such a sense of peace and quiet, elegance and beauty that  there is no room for anything else in your memory.

For this reason Ravello has been chosen for ages not only as touristic destination but also as place of residence by many celebrities among politicians, poets, writers, film directors, musicians. On this point, we can mention Churchill, Kennedy, Lawrence, Gide, Huston, Fellini, Rossellini, Verdi, Wagner, Grieg, Stravinskij, Bernstein, Toscanini, Greta Garbo and Humphrey Bogart.

RAVELLO’S MANSIONS: A LOOK ON THE INFINITE

Villa Cimbrone’s gardens
The most part of Ravello’s international reputation is due to its wonderful mansions.

After visiting the Cathedral and its magnificent ambo in Piazza del Vescovado, you can start your tour of the mansions with Villa Rufolo and walk around the beautiful garden, delighted by the scent of flowers and the birdsong.

Here, on a stage that seems to be hanging from the starry sky on the blue sea, take place the moving concerts of the traditional Festival, which, over the years, has made Ravello The Town of Music, with a programme of events that covers several months and range from classical music to jazz music.

Then, you can move to Villa Cimbrone, an old residence for nobles with a enchanting panoramic viewpoint.
The only thing you need during this tour is a camera!
